Lunchtime library club
Last Monday, our lunchtime library club enjoyed some Spring mindfulness colour-by-numbers activity sheets.

Chatterbooks sessions
Last week, the KS1 Chatterbooks groups enjoyed listening to Ruby's Worry! We had a discussion about times when we have been worried and spoke about how we feel when we speak to someone.
One child mentioned that he felt nervous starting Year 1 and he spoke to his Mum. She helped him feel better and his worry disappeared.
Another child felt worried about his Literacy work. He spoke to his teacher and she helped him.

New KS2 Chatterbooks groups last week started enjoying the popular classic, Supertato. Everyone enjoyed shared reads of the story and all groups managed to get 10/10 with their group questions. Great work everyone!

In the Library
For less confident readers or those who just want to grab a short book, we have a wide range of 'Quick Read' books for all ages and reading abilities.

Book Review
Roza in Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed reading Spaceboy by David Walliams and gave it 5 stars!

Winter Returning Books Competition
Our returning books competition back in July proved so popular with children and staff competing to win, that we decided to arrange a Winter Returning Books Competition!

Each class has had the chance to compete within their own year group to see who could return the most library books back to the library before a certain deadline.

We have had a large number of books returned, enabling us to restock lots of sections in the library.

Congratulations to the following classes who returned the most books this term:

Year 1: Beech
Year 2: Pine
Year 3: Cherry
Year 4: Maple
Year 5: Lime
Year 6: Birch
An additional huge congratulations to Maple class for returning the most books in the school!
Well done to all the classes that took part.
