Havering Libraries - Warm Coats Initiative

Warm Coats

You may already be aware that Havering Libraries are doing a Warm Coats Initiative this Winter.
Each library has a coat rail with adult and children's coats, where people can come in, try on and take home for free, no questions asked.

If anyone has any donations of good quality, warm, clean and undamaged coats, these will be very welcome. Please ring up your local library before dropping off.
Rainham and Harold Hill libraries are particularly short on donations.

Havering Libraries Collage For National Libraries Day

With National Libraries Day coming up in February, Havering Libraries are asking local residents and schools to help create beautiful collages in each of their libraries. To create these collages they would like you to do one of the following;

Draw your favourite book character(s)
Describe one of your favourite stories
Design/draw a book cover

If you would like to create an illustration for the Havering Libraries Collage then please hand your completed work into your local library before Saturday 7th February so it can go on display. Our KS1 Spinebreakers will be making regular visits to Hilldene library over the coming weeks and are more than happy to deliver your work for you, just make sure you pass it on to Miss Sparkes by Monday 26th January 2015.
