The festive fun in the Library continues!
This week in the library, our festive fun has continued as we get closer to the Christmas holidays.
Displays
We have a wide selection of Christmas, festive and winter-themed books and magazines for all ages in the library, which have been displayed all around for children to borrow. Children from all year groups have continued to enjoy the stories.
Reading Advent Calendar
Our Reading Advent Calendar continues to be incredibly popular! Examples of reading challenges for this week have included 'Choose a book beginning with T', 'Choose a yellow book' and 'Choose a book about animals'.
The children are still loving taking part, with lots continuing to come to the library every morning to check what that day's challenge is. Not only is this a fun activity for them to enjoy but it also encourages them to try out new authors, genres and books that they may not have chosen otherwise.
Libby the Library Elf
Last week, Miss Flower and Mrs Jobber were very excited to find a new addition to the library - Libby the Library Elf! She has continued to have lots of fun and mischief around the library, to the delight of the children popping in to see her! We had a visit from the 'Can Choir' to coincide with the children's Christmas concerts and of course Libby had to get involved in Christmas Jumper Day!
Lunchtime Library Club
This week, our lunchtime Library Club children have enjoyed some Christmas-themed activities, including a fun elf activity booklet and Christmas wordsearches.
What a fun-packed second week!
