101 Dalmatians Project - Year 3

The pupils in Year 3 kick started their 101 Dalmatians project this afternoon with biscuit-decorating, mask-making and poster-creating fun!

For the next term and a half, Year 3 will work in partnership with pupils from Brookside Primary School to take part in activities based on the story of 101 Dalmatians. The project is split into three sections - each focusing on a different area of the story. For the first part, the activities are all creative-based. Year 3 have been split into four groups and will take it in turns to spend their Monday afternoon in the hall building on their knowledge of the story.

In preparation for this project, they watched the original 1961 movie last week; and have begun reading the story created by Dodie Smith in their classes.

Book Blogger Of The Week - Rebeca

Last week the pupils in Year 3 were introduced to My Book Blog - an online platform that allows them to access book reviews, comprehension quizzes and vocabulary tests that link to books they borrow from the school library. Each pupil in KS2 has their own unique log in that allows them to build a page packed with books they have read. Throughout their reading journey they can collect fun facts; build upon their vocabulary and vote share their thoughts on the stories they read.

Blogger Of The Week!
This week we give recognition for the review of, Woozy the Wizard: A Present for Pig, created by Elm Class pupil, Rebeca.
