Over the last six weeks our Spinebreakers from year six have been working on a project to improve the reading areas in the reception classrooms, and today Sophie and Mervyn finally got the chance to put their 'Tiger That Came To Tea' themed book corner together. The reading corner now features a new tea set, character masks, a selection of Judith Kerr books, a tiger seat and a very cute tiger soft toy. The children of Apple class will be making full use of their reading area as soon as they return after the holiday!
Thank you to Mervyn and Sophie for your hard work, and also to Smilte and Samson who both helped in coming up with ideas for the area. They will begin to develop the reading corner in Aspen when we return - the theme being 'Kipper the Dog'.
