The festive fun in the Library finishes for another year!
This week in the library saw the final lot of festive fun before the Christmas holidays.
Displays
Lots more Christmas, festive and winter-themed books were borrowed by children, and by staff to read aloud for end-of-day stories.
Reading Advent Calendar
Children also enjoyed taking part in the final Reading Advent Calendar challenges. Examples of reading challenges for this final week have included 'Choose a book beginning with S', 'Choose a pink book' and 'Choose a non-fiction book'.

All of the children who took part had their names entered into a competition to win a super prize. The lucky winner randomly chosen was Elyssa in Year 2 and the runner-up was Amaira in Year 5. Everyone else who took part received a lovely bookmark. Congratulations to all!
Lunchtime Library Club
This week, our lunchtime Library Club children enjoyed some lovely festive colouring sheets.
Winter Reading Challenge
This week, Miss Flower launched the Winter Reading Challenge for children to take part in at home over the Christmas holidays.
Once we return to school in January, children should hand their completed challenge to Miss Flower in the library by Friday 9th January 2026 in order to receive a special certificate and the chance to win a prize!
