Yes, it may be November, but our pupils have been getting into the Christmas spirit in the library! 12 pupils from across the school have been recorded sharing some VERY festive stories! Their videos will go live on the Library blog across 12 days during the month of December. A special thank you to all the pupils involved. We hope you look forward to watching them!

WW1 - Read All About It!

The display in the library includes the names of the 26 brave soldiers from Harold Wood who lost their lives during WW1.

This weekend we remember those who fought in the First World War, celebrating their lives 100 years on. In the library we have a selection of books - both fiction and non-fiction - that teach us about the war and what life was like for the brave soldiers who were called upon to fight for our country. Please take a look during your next visit.

Year 2 Spinebreakers - Book Reviews Of The Fortnight!

Srinika, Lucas and Amelia visited Harold Hill Library recently, and chose some great titles to read back at school...

This week we shared the stories they had borrowed and began writing book reviews for about our favourite tales.

Abdulmalik chose to give his thoughts on Captain Finn and the Dinosaurs, Smuggler's Bay. He is familiar with the main characters, and was keen to see what adventures they got up to!

Victoria enjoyed hearing about Mr Panda - the story which follows his bedtime routine.
Both reviews have been displayed on our 'We Love Reading' board in the library. Please take a look next time you visit.

Check Out Our New Games!

We recently made an order for a variety of new games for the pupils who attend Breakfast Club. The children have enjoyed testing them out over the last week...

All the games have been set up so they are ready to be played with!

We Enjoyed Tasty Hot Chocolates!

Pupils in Breakfast Club warmed themselves up with some delicious hot chocolates, topped with lashings of cream, sprinkles and marshmallows...
