Breakfast Club: What's On The Menu?
Doors open every morning at 7.45am for Breakfast Club. Not only is there a variety of food and drinks on the menu, but there is also LOTS of fun to be had with areas set up in the hall for games, challenges, reading, crafts and puzzles. From time to time there will be a focused activity to link in with special occasions and termly events, and at the end of each term a special activity is set up for creating tasty pancake toppings, smoothies, fruit salads, taste-testing and much more!

Frankie's Magic Football/Animal Magic Friends Reading Adventure - Years 5/6 Autumn Term Challenge
FOR YEAR 5/6 PUPILS ONLY!
The years 5/6 challenge for Autumn Term is to complete a Frankie's Magic Football or Animal Magic Friends reading log.
Use the log to mark off every ten minutes of reading you do. Once the log is complete hand it in at the library to receive a certificate and be in with a chance of winning a goody bag full of books and prizes.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bangs Magical Reading Tour - KS1 Autumn Term Challenge
CALLING ALL KS1 PUPILS!
Enter the Autumn Term challenge by picking up your own Chitty Chitty Bang Bang reading log from the school library.
Completing your log could not be easier...
Just colour in a segment on the fuel gauge for every 10 minutes of reading. Once all 60 segments have been coloured you will have read for a total of 10 hours, completing your log!
Once your log is complete, simply hand it in to Miss Sparkes. All entries will be placed into a raffle box, and at the end of the Autumn Term one name will be chosen at random. The winning pupil will receive a goody bag full of books and prizes.

Where's Wally? - Year 3/4 Autumn Term Challenge
YEAR 3/4 PUPILS! CREATE YOUR OWN 'WHERE'S WALLY?' SCENES TODAY!
This term's library challenge for years 3 and 4 is National Literacy Trust's 'Around the World with Wally'
Put yourselves in Wally’s shoes and draw a new scene he has found himself in; writing a brief description on the back. The scene can be a familiar or foreign place.
All entries will be judged by our Spinebreakers at the end of the Autumn Term. One winner will receive a goody bag of books and prizes!

Premier Reading League - Sign Up Today!
The Premier Reading League returns this week. Here's how you could be in with a chance of winning a place on our trip to the Cycling Championships in December.
1. Pick up a team sheet from the library
2. Create a team of 6 players
3. Give your team a name
4. Design a team badge
5. Hand your slip in to Miss Sparkes
6. Start reading and reviewing books
You will earn one point for every book you read and three points for every book review you complete. The competition will run from now until Friday 18 November 2016. The team with the most amount of points will win tickets to see the Cycling Championships at the Olympic Park. There will be two more tickets up for grabs for the two pupils who have earned the most points, but whose team is not in first place.

Winners of the Get Caught Reading Summer Competition
Congratulations to Libby and Hayden Northwood who have won this year's Get Reading Competition with their photos of them reading to a penguin at Longleat Safari Park.
Well done to our runners-up, Jack Eve and Sophie Porter. Jack was caught reading the Jungle Book with a crocodile and parrot!
Sophie went back in time and was snapped reading on the set of Downton Abbey!
