Year 3 Spinebreakers Visit Waterstones!

Yesterday, the Year 3 Spinebreakers spent a morning in Romford buying new books for our school library! Like Spinebreakers before them, they browsed the children's area of the store in search of some fresh, new titles. Once their choices had been made, they enjoyed sharing their new books over hot chocolates and cakes in Waterstones' Café.

All books are now available to borrow from our library. Take a look at the stories that were chosen:

Ali was passionate about sharing a little more about his faith, that's why he picked up 'Zahra's Blessing, A Ramadan Story'. His second book was from Dav Pilkey's series, Dog Man.

Elkah enjoys stories that feature mythical creatures like mermaids, fairies and unicorns. Her first choice was a book full of short stories, where all of the main characters are unicorns. Her second choice was Aziza's Secret Fairy Door and the Mermaid's Treasure.

Evie picked two books from the Isadora Moon series, Mirabelle Gets up to Mischief and Isadora Moon Makes Winter Magic. Evie was drawn to the glittery front covers!

Year 3 have previously read 'Charlie Turns into a Chicken', so Ayaan was keen to read the second story in the collection, Charlie turns into a Mammoth. Ayaan's second pick was a David Walliams' tale, Fing.

Football fan Gabi picked up 'Figo', the story of the footballer's rise to success. His second book was James Smart's 'Bunny vs Monkey and the Supersonic Aye-aye!
