The CBeebies Big Reading Adventure!

CBeebies Magazine have created a reading challenge for children aged three to seven to take part in across the country. The Big Reading Adventure will take place from now until December. It has been designed to complete the challenge across one week, hearing a different story each day and then completing a linked activity. We will be doing this slightly different at Broadford, children in year one will be able to hear a different story each week, over five weeks. Each time we share a story and complete an activity they will be rewarded with a sticker on their chart. Their aim is to earn all ten stickers.

When a pupil has completed their adventure chart they will be entered into the national prize draw and be in with the chance of winning a year-long subscription to CBeebies magazine and £50 worth of book vouchers. As well as, an afternoon of storytelling performances and workshops led by a professional storyteller and a well-known CBeebies character for the school! 10 runners up will receive a six month subscription to CBeebies magazine.

If you would like your child to take part in the challenge at home, they can take a reading chart home then follow the weekly activities and stories on the blog, every Tuesday, as of next week. Once completed don't forget to hand it in at school or send it via post to,
