For the month of May, we'll be celebrating all things magical in celebration of National Share a Story Month. Each week a task will be set surrounding the theme of 'Myths, Magic and Mayhem'. Take a look below at the activities we have planned for the month ahead.
We have kick-started our first week with the task of creating mythical beasts. Pupils will be given time to complete the activity during Well-Being Wednesday.
Instagram Takeover - Wednesday 12th May 2021!
Head over to our Instagram page to see what magical tales we have been reading throughout the school. Listen to our mini book reviews and see the beautiful artwork we have created.
A postponed dress up for World Book Day - Wednesday 19th May 2021.
As you will remember school was closed on World Book Day - a day we look forward to celebrating every year. To make the most of National Share a Story Month we thought there'd be nothing more exciting than dressing up as our favourite characters. Try sticking with the theme of 'Myths, Magic and Mayhem'. Here are suggestions for you: unicorns, dragons, witches, wizards, Gruffalos, trolls, ogres, mermaids, fairies, goblins and monsters - just to name a few!
Please don't feel like you outfit has to be shop-bought. We know how creative our Broadford pupils are so why not use the time during Well-Being Wednesday to produce masks and props?
Magical Library transformations! Across the month each class will be working on revamping their classroom libraries into magical masterpieces! Featuring book reviews, artwork and a selection of marvellous stories. We will share our makeovers on our Instagram page.
We hope you are as excited as we are! We can't wait to see the wonderful work you produce and hear all about the fantastic stories you read.
