You may have spotted earlier on in the week that author of Lark the Shark, Natalie Newman, will be visiting Broadford in the beginning of March. There will be the opportunity to buy signed copies of her book. For further information, please read the blogpost here.
During the KS1 assembly, Miss Mullan read Alexis Deacon's story 'Beegu'. Beegu tries to find her way home when she lands on planet Earth. Her first impression of Earth isn't a positive one, until she bumps into our younger residents who are very welcoming. This book can be found on the Year 1 Reading Tracker.
During the KS2 assembly, Mrs Lewis read the opening chapters of The One and Only Ivan. Inspired by the true story of a captive gorilla known as Ivan, this illustrated novel is told from the point of view of Ivan himself. This book can be found on the Year 5 Reading Trackers.
