Each week, I will be bringing you a look back on the previous week in the library, including the fun that our lunchtime library clubs have had, new books, children's book reviews, library displays and much more!

Lunchtime library club 

Last week, our lunchtime Library Club children enjoyed some creative colouring for Elmer day. Miss Flower will be using everyone's artwork to create her new display board when we come back after half term!

Book of the Week

The Book of the Week last week was Greta and the Giants by Zoe Tucker. Greta is a little girl who lives in a beautiful forest threatened by Giants. When the Giants first came to the forest, they chopped down trees to make houses. Then they chopped down more trees and made even bigger homes. The houses grew into towns and the towns grew into cities, until now there is hardly any forest left. Greta knows she has to help the animals who live in the forest, but how? Luckily, Greta has an idea…

Chatterbooks sessions

Last week, library Chatterbooks groups continued with the funny book, Alan's Big Scary Teeth. Everyone got very creative, producing some great versions of Alan!

*SAVE THE DATE* The Book Fair is coming!

We are pleased to announce that the Book Fair is coming to Broadford once again! It will be held at the back of the new hall (Charlton) from 3.15pm-3.30pm on Tuesday 2nd June, Wednesday 3rd June, Thursday 4th June and Friday 5th June.
The price of books start from just £2.99 and there is a special promotion of 3 books for the price of 2 (cheapest free)! If you are planning on making a purchase, we would be grateful for plenty of change if paying by cash or you can make contactless card/phone payments.
A percentage of the money raised will go towards new books for our library so please come along and support us by making a purchase.

Urgent request - Returning borrowed library books

We have so many lovely books in our library but, unfortunately, many of them get borrowed by a child and then never returned to the library. Please can you check at home to see if you have any Broadford library books (stamped inside/Broadford logo attached). If you do, please pass them to your child to return to the library asap, where our Book Monster is waiting to eat them! Thank you.
