Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn Term! We will continue with our weekly reading assemblies - sharing stories from the '105 Books to Read Before you Leave Broadford' book list and celebrating reading achievements from across the school.
Mrs Nicholls lead the KS1 assembly this week. She shared Drew Daywalt's brilliant story, The Day the Crayons Quit. Duncan (the owner of the crayons) is in big trouble when the crayons up and leave the crayon box. They are fed up with Duncan's treatment, so send him letters explaining why they are so upset, hoping he will change his colouring-ways! This book features on the Year 1 Reading Tracker.
Miss Hamilton read the opening chapter of Danny the Champion of the World. You can hear an audio version of the story by clicking on the image above. This book can be found on the Year 4 Reading Tracker.
