Get Caught Reading Returns!
How does it work?
During the summer, we are inviting parents/carers and family members to ‘catch their child reading’. It could be a book, a comic, a menu, instructions - anything with words! Children might be caught reading on the beach, in the garden, up a tree or snuggled on the sofa - the more creative, the better!
How to take part:
There is ONE entry per child. Please send one photo (with your child's full name and new class) of your child caught reading over the summer - that is all you need to be entered into the challenge!

We will choose one winner and one runner-up from each Key Stage. These lucky ones will be rewarded with a prize, and everyone will receive a special certificate for taking part. All entries need to be in by Friday 4th September 2026. Winners will be announced the following week.

Over the years, we have received hundreds of entries; from children reading aloud to animals, to reading while up mountains! We have been so lucky to see you continuing your love of reading during the summer breaks.
