Welcome to the Broadford Library Weekly Newsletter!
Each week, I will be bringing you a look back on the previous week in the library, including the fun that our lunchtime library clubs have had, new books, children's book reviews, library displays and much more!

Lunchtime library club
Last week, our lunchtime Library Club children enjoyed completing activity sheets all about their favourite books and book characters.

Book of the Week
The Book of the Week last week was You and Me and the Peanut-Butter Beast by Andy Griffiths. Hey you - yes, you! Remember when we found that really deep hole and you jumped in and I had to rescue you, and at the bottom of the hole we found the cave of the legendary peanut-butter beast? That was one of our deepest - and most dangerous - adventures ever! What? You don't remember? Well, have I got a story for you...

Chatterbooks sessions
Last week, library Chatterbooks groups continued with Chatterbox BearEveryone loved making their own bear masks or getting creative with pictures of the characters from the story.

Librarian Award
A special Librarian Award certificate was given out last week to Medina from Year 2, who donated a lovely selection of books to the library.

Blue Peter Reading Badge
We are delighted to hear that more of the library's super Spinebreakers have received their Blue Peter Reading Badges in the post.

Congratulations to Layla in Year 2, Ashar in Year 3 and Alayna in Year 3!
Earn your Blue Peter Reading Badge! See how you can take part here or pick up an entry form from the library.

105 Books To Read Before You Leave Broadford
If you have not already seen it, please read the separate Library blog post all about our 105 Books To Read Before You Leave Broadford here.

Urgent request - Returning borrowed library books
We have so many lovely books in our library but, unfortunately, many of them get borrowed by a child and then never returned to the library. Please can you check at home to see if you have any Broadford library books (stamped inside/Broadford logo attached). If you do, please pass them to your child to return to the library asap, where our Book Monster is waiting to eat them! Thank you.
