Reading Assemblies - Amazing Grace and Wonder!

        

For the KS1 Reading Assembly this week, Mrs Fayefunmi read Amazing Grace.
A touching and beautiful picture book about being true to yourself and not letting anyone hold you back. This is the perfect story for children everywhere to remind them to be themselves no matter what the world tells you.

Miss Piper read an extract from the story Wonder for the KS2 Reading Assembly this week. Born with a terrible facial abnormality, Auggie has been home-schooled by his parents his whole life. Now, for the first time, he's being sent to a real school - and he's dreading it. All he wants is to be accepted - but can he convince his new classmates that he's just like them, underneath it all?
