This morning, our wonderful year 1 Spinebreakers visited Waterstones in Romford to buy new books for our school library.
On arrival, they searched the children's reading area for a selection of new titles. Take a look at the books they chose...
Having read 'Let the Pidgeon Drive the Bus', Zofia was keen to read 'The Pidgeon Will Ride the Roller Coaster!' Drawn in by the bright and sparkly cover, Zofia's next pick was 'Ten Little Unicorns'.
Knowing we were going for cake straight after, Chiraj had to pick the story called 'Cake!' His second book of choice was Nathan Bryon and Dapo Adeloa's story about making a difference, 'Speak Up!'
Like Zofia, Alfie grabbed one of Mike Brownlow's stories, 'Ten Little Penguins'. His second book was the follow on from Handa's Surprise, 'Handa's Noisy Night'.
Bernice picked up one of the latest releases, 'Amy Gets Eaten' and a copy of 'Mammoth, Big Beast, Big City, BIG TROUBLE!
Munsha picked up 'Do You Love Exploring?' - a book jam-packed with facts about animals across the world. Her second book was, 'Dogs Don't Do Ballet'.
Olaf went straight for two new releases, 'Sammy Striker and the Football Cup' and 'Flora and Nora, Hunt for Treasure'.
Searching the store for new titles was clearly a tricky and tiring task, so the Spinebreakers were treated to marshmallow topped hot chocolates and cakes in the W Café!
