Year 2 Spinebreakers Visit Waterstones

Yesterday the Year 2 Spinebreakers took the bus into Romford to visit Waterstones. Their objective was to each purchase two new books for the school library.

Take a look at what they picked:

Srinika was well prepared with a list of books she was on the look out for! Mary Poppins was her first choice - a book which she has been looking forward to reading for a while. Her second book was from the Peppa Pig stories, she wanted to choose a book that would appeal to the younger pupils at Broadford.

Two books with ferocious BITE! Lucas picked Axel Scheffler's Flip Flap Dinosaurs and Nicola O'Byrne's Open Very Carefully!

Victoria chose Ten Minutes to Bed Little Unicorn by Rhiannon Fielding; and Odd Dog Out by Blown Away's author, Rob Biddulph.

Kyriq was blown away with the choice of books Waterstones has to offer. Being a fan of Fortnite, his first book was a guide on how to play the game. His second book was a Dinosaur book with motion pictures!

You Can't Take an Elephant on the Bus by Patricia Cleveland-Peck was the first of Amelia's two books. Her second was another wonderful story from Julia Donaldson - The Girl, The Bear and the Magic Shoes.

Abdulmalik thoroughly enjoys the Mr Men and Little Miss stories, so his first pick was Little Miss Scary. His next choice is a new release from Tom Fletcher - There's an Alien in my Book!

All the books are available to read in the library.
