Yesterday, our youngest Spinebreakers visited Waterstones in Romford to choose a selection of new books for our school library.
Hannah picked two books that she has read many times before. She likes these books as they are both extremely funny, and feels that they would be perfect for people of all ages!
Archie's first choice was, Supertato: Veggies in the Valley of Doom! These stories have proved very popular with Broadford pupils, so this is sure to be a hit. His second book was a Little Miss story - Little Miss Chatterbooks.
Laura followed in Archie's footsteps and picked two Mr. Men books. She chose Mr. Nobody and Mr. Good. Laura is hoping to see more books like this in the library in the future.
Ethan really liked the look of 'The Koala Who Could', we have read the previous story by this author called 'The Lion Inside' - it is a fantastic story about bravery, so we are hoping this one is just as good! Being a huge fan of dinosaurs and rockets, there was no doubting that Ethan's second book was going to be 'Dinosuar Rocket!'
Nicole picked Lauren Child's 'Clarice Bean, That's Me', and 'The Royal Baby'. Nicole used her time wisely in the book shop by reading as many books as she possibly could!
Iyinope remembers hearing the many Mr. Men and Little Miss books when he was in Reception. Like Laura and Archie, he wanted more of these tales added to the library shelves! He chose Little Miss Princess and the Very Special Party, and Little Miss Shy.
As a treat, they enjoyed delicious cakes in Costa!
The Spinebreakers couldn't wait to read the new books they had chosen, so spent their journey on the bus back to school reading them all!
