The Book Fair: Day Two Raffle Winner Announced!

Congratulations to Keira Baker, you are the winner of yesterday's raffle! You are welcome to join us after school to spend £10 worth of book tokens at the fair!
 
Tonight is the last night for the fair, so please come and take a look at the wonderful books we have to offer - some priced at just £1.99! The first 20 people to buy a book today can choose a free piece of stationery or poster.

The Book Fair: Day One Raffle Winner Announced!

Congratulations to Freddie Lewis!! You are the lucky winner of Friday's Book Fair raffle. You are invited back after school today to spend £15 of book tokens at the fair!
 
 
Join us today at 11.15am for Nursery children and from 3pm in the KS1 outside area. A raffle ticket will be entered into a prize draw for each person who buys a book, one winner will be rewarded with £10 to spend at the Book Fair tomorrow.

Visit The Book Fair Tomorrow!

Help Broadford reach its goal of £750 by visiting the Book Fair tomorrow from 3pm in the Key Stage One outside area.

World Book Day 2017 - Broadford's Best Dressed Featured In The Romford Recorder!

Pick up a copy of the Romford Recorder this week to read their centre spread on the celebrations from across the borough surrounding World Book Day's 20th anniversary. The feature contains photos and quotes from Broadford pupils.

The Book Fair Is Coming To Broadford!

We are excited to host another Book Fair from Friday 24 March until Tuesday 28 March 2017.

Times:
The Book Fair will be held outside the KS1/2 classrooms from 3pm.
Morning Nursery children will have the opportunity to buy books after their morning session on Friday 24 March.

Daily Prizes:
Like previous fairs, each day there will be the opportunity to win book vouchers and earn free stationery or posters...

Friday 24 March: If you make a purchase your name will go into a raffle to win £15 to spend at the book fair on Monday 27 March.
Monday 27 March: If you make a purchase your name will go into a raffle to win £10 to spend at the book fair on Tuesday 28 March.
Tuesday 28 March: The first 20 people to buy a book will receive a free piece of stationery or poster. 

Competition
This year, our Spinebreakers from across the school will be promoting a competition. Children will be encouraged to create a Book Fair poster - advertising our sale across the three days. One lucky winner will be rewarded with a goody bag and their winning entry will be displayed in and around the school. You can collect an entry sheet from your class Spinebreakers. Once completed, please hand your sheet, with you name on it, back to you class Spinebreakers.

The competition will run from now until Thursday 23 March. Good Luck!

WBD - The Fantastic Where's Wally? School Search

To celebrate World Book Day children from across the school took part in the Where's Wally? School Search. Their task was to find Wally and his four friends who were hiding in and around the school.
 
More than 140 pupils took part! Each child was awarded a Where's Wally? certificate.

Denis Bond Visits Broadford

To celebrate World Book Day 2017 Denis Bond visited Broadford. He spent the day sharing and creating stories with pupils in years 1 and 2.

We have a selection of Denis's books in our school library that we will be sharing over the coming weeks.
 
 
Stories include; The Witch Who Loved To Make Children Cry, The Shark Who Bit Things He Shouldn't, The Granny Who Wasn't Like Other Grannies, The Monster Who Couldn't Scare Anyone, The Train Who Was Frightened Of The Dark and The Dragon Who Couldn't Help Breathing Fire.
