Year 2 Spinebreakers visit Harold Hill Library!

Yesterday, our Year 2 Spinebreakers enjoyed a lovely trip to Harold Hill Library with Miss Flower and Mrs Jobber.

First, they browsed the shelves before each choosing a book to read.

 Once they had read their books, they each completed a book review.

Then the Spinebreakers had a turn of using the library machine to return a book.

Those children who do not already have one were given an application form for a Library Card.

Everyone had a lovely time and it was great to tick some more tasks off of their Spinebreaker trackers for this year!

The Story Scrapbook completes its journey!

The Story Scrapbook has now completed its journey around the school!

Every week, a different class around the school is delivered the scrapbook by two of our Spinebreakers. The class's task is to fill a double-page spread with work based on a book of their choice - this could be their end-of-day story or a class favourite. Classes can fill their pages with drawings, paintings, writing, collages - they just need to be creative and use their imaginations!
~~~
Last week, the Story Scrapbook was delivered to Nursery. They chose Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? as their story and produced two wonderfully creative pages.
That completes the Story Scrapbook's journey around the classes for this school year. We have had some wonderfully creative pages produced - here are some examples:
We look forward to seeing what imaginative displays will be created when we return in September!
